  1. I think both are very good…but I prefer the S7 Edge. I think the iPhone 7 Plus with the dual lens setup is a bit more interesting than the regular iPhone 7. Also, some people can probably switch between Android and IOS, but most can't, the two systems on the surface are very similar… but Android is more flexible (open). compared to iOS.. IMO. Also, might be worth noting the S7/S7edge shoot RAW .DNG files within the main stock camera app. The iPhone 7 is the first to support RAW shooting… but (last I checked) it needs a 3rd party app, it is not supported in the stock camera app.

  2. Matt, excellent research and discussion. Unfortunately I do not use phones for taking pictures, so could not make any contribution. But from your research my gut feeling goes with Samsung.

  3. Having owned both Galaxy and iPhone, I personally prefer the support for photography (native camera / apps / 3rd party hardware) in the iOS ecosystem – however if judging purely on image quality both should be commended for blowing the roof off the <$1000 camera market.
